What is it?

The My Shopping application for Facebook allows you to connect with friends, co-workers, or family on your daily shopping activities.

If you’ve got a Facebook account already then you’ve already connected with some friends and co-workers. If you don’t, it’s worth taking the time to sign up for, no matter how old (or young) you are.

Social Shopping

Whether you are a fashion guru or computer geek, getting your friends’ opinions on product buys is always important. You can now do your shopping right from within the Facebook interface by adding our “My Shopping” application. Search millions of product and easily rate gadgets you own, movies you’ve watched, books you’ve read, music you enjoy, or clothing you like. With one click you can add things to your want or own lists.

Making the Purchase

The application will also show you the best choices to buy the product depending on merchant price and rating. You can then pick the merchant website of your choice for further product details and making your final purchase.

Revenue Sharing

So you’ve marked and rated some items, now what? Soon you will be able to earn cash when people take your suggestions in their own shopping activities. This can be from products you’ve rated or marked, suggestions to friends, or reviews written. Those who are most active and have the most active group of friends shopping will earn the most cash. Your shopping activity, friends shopping activity, and other related shopping activity all count. So it’s time to invite some friends and get them involved.

Collaborative Recommendations

Once enough active friends have added the application, it will start showing you recommendations based on products you want and friends who share similar interests.
