Another New UPS on my home computer network! The RS 800 by APC.

on Fri Jun 16 18:28:21 EDT 2006Wouldn't you know it? Recent thunderstorms spun off from Alberto in the Gulf States area caused their damage to my systems again this year. Being at the end of the power line in an area is never a plus for a homeowner, as it causes more lightening surge...
Pros: Small narrow size, AVR, telephone and network protection, easy self testing or manual, etc..
Cons: No coax surge protector..
Bottom Line: If you truly value your computer, a good UPC is a necessity you shouldn't avoid. A plain surge connector/power conditioner can't compare or protect as well as a UPS..
