You can only connect one input device (i.e. DVD player,cable box or satellite receiver) to two output device(i.e. TV or projector).You can't connect two input device (i.e. DVD player,cable box or satellite receiver) to one output device(i.e. TV or projector)
If you need sopmething to split two input devices you will need to buy an HDMI switch.
Get the facts straight and don't blame a cable for something you did not do the research on!
