Acclaimed actor Robert Carlyle (TRAINSPOTTING) stars as police constable Hamish Macbeth in this TV crime drama series, which is set in a small Scottish town. Macbeth's relationship with the town forms the backbone of the plot; bringing the various miscreants who dwell there to justice, he often deploys unorthodox methods to get the job done.
