Product Information

Unlike most police procedurals, Dick Wolf's seminal series takes the viewer from crime to conviction. As its title suggests, LAW & ORDER pairs the perspectives of the police and prosecutors. The first half of the show devotes itself to the investigation of a crime in New York City, while the second half dives into the legal proceedings. Season five features Chris Noth in his final season as Detective Mike Logan, with seasoned veteran Jerry Orbach playing the wry Lenny Briscoe. This season also marks Sam Waterston's first as Jack McCoy, one of the most popular characters on the series. Claire Kincaid (Jill Hennessy) joins McCoy in the district attorney's office. The fifth season of the Emmy-winning series features an impressive roster of guest stars, including Laura Linney and Edward Herrmann. Future SOPRANOS regulars Edie Falco, Aida Turturro, and Dominic Chianese also make appearances.

The investigations into sexually based offences by Detectives Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler are, by far, some of the most engaging television, I've ever seen.
While I did come to detect a bit of a pattern in the progression of the stories about mid-way through the set, this did not detract from my enj... (Read Full Review)
