Product Information

Set in modern Mississippi, MONSTER'S BALL subtly examines the impact of personal loss and the transforming power of human connection. The movie begins in the state penitentiary's death row, where father-and-son prison guards Hank (Billy Bob Thornton) and Sonny Grotowski (Heath Ledger) administer the execution of a black death-row inmate Lawrence Musgrove (Sean Combs), who leaves behind a wife, Leticia (Halle Berry), and son, Tyrell (Coronji Calhoun). Go to the Monster's Ball

Rating of 5 out of 5.0 Written By jo.com on Sun Mar 24 15:38:43 EST 2002

Pros: The acting and the story...everything.
Cons: I would have liked to see the end played out a bit more..
Bottom Line: Superb movie with terrific acting. Halle Berry should get the Oscar and if she doesn't the Academy should be ashamed of itself..
