The wireless controller you've been waiting for.

on 2004-09-09Ever since video game hardware and accessory makers got the inspiration to create wireless controllers, it became the case that they always managed to screw up at least one of two things on each new design: either the controller is awful, or the wireless aspect is worthless.
Nintendo changed all that with the release of their Wavebird wireless controller, the first wireless controller that worked as well as, and felt just as good as, the wired controllers it was meant to replace. So the Gamecube got an excellent wireless pad on the first try... not so with the PS2. Sony refuses to take a hint from Nintendo, and so leaves the development of wireless pads to third-party developers. The end result has been a steady stream of crappy pads.
