Excellent Product. It actually works - well!

on 2007-08-02The Wilson 812201 is a great product. I have very spotty GSM cell coverage about 1000 feet away, or up on a hill. But nothing where I need it - "No Service". With a Wilson external antenna, I have one or sometimes two bars, but can only make calls about 60% of the time and those calls frequently drop off. The Wilson amplifier brings me up to three or four bars, so that I can call out without difficulty and without losing the connection. I can't say that it will work in all circumstances or if you're very far from a signal, but I'm very satisifed with the product and found it to be well worth the very affordable price. The only "negative" point (if it is one), is that the unit heats up quite a bit over time, which I understand is normal, so it's best not to keep it in an enclosed area... (Read Full Review)
