Product Information
Based on a novel by H.E. Bates, the 13-part miniseries LOVE FOR LYDIA compellingly recreates the heady abandon of the 1920s Jazz Age through the story of a young girl's transformation from shy teen to wild flapper. Heiress Lydia Aspen (Mel Martin) dances the Charleston as easily as she flits from one lover to the next, among them a struggling young writer (Christopher Blake) who earnestly loves her. The cast also includes Jeremy Irons in one of his earliest major roles, several years before his breakthrough in BRIDESHEAD REVISITED.Actors and Key Contributors: Michael Aldridge, Christopher Blake, Peter Davison, Jeremy Irons, Rachel Kempson,
